The Past

Born in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, Andrea Carroll opened her first business in 1985 in Halifax NS; she designed funky fashions from  a small studio on Argyle St.W

In 1988, Andrea moved to Montreal and in 1992 stumbled upon a hatmaking by accident. As if struck by lightening (and that's another story), she was on fire! Self-taught, she made hats and sold them from her loft studio until opening her shop, Salon Paradiso, on Crescent St. in 1998.

Of course, life happened, and a few years later,  her business of making custom, handmade hats went on hiatus... until moving back to Nova Scotia in 2017.  Now, she burns again with the creative fire of making unique, one-of-a-kind handmade hats.

The Present

These days, you can find Andrea in her home studio, or catch her  at the Truro Farmers' Market, showing her newly built funky lids. If you don't find her at either of these places, she's likely out riding the back roads on her vintage '72 Triumph Bonneville.
